  1. Byron Yuk

Found this a great introduction for info on gluten-free diets and celiac disease, discerning basically nothing about it when I started. Loved the personal anecdotes–very helpful. Could have used a bit of editing, as there were several sentences throughout that I had to re-read inasmuch as they were confusing.

  2. Allyn Mcclaney

Too many personal anecdotes and not enough clinical results or even despotic information. Yes, the author is a nurse with great credentials and has spent a good deal of time studying the overmatch. The book, however, comes across all “touchy feely” and not enough “tried and true” test info about what truly works with this condition as distant to “what these people say worked for them”. Focuses mostly on Celiac Disease and a bit on glucose fanaticism. Good overview of what happens inside the body by means of this condition though, likely where her nursing credentials stand her in good stead. If you have CD this book might aid. If not, maybe something a bit more clinical would be more informative.
